The Ignition Drawing Timeline
Velociterra Arrives on the Scene
Our parent company Velociterra announces a new branded identity as our group’s incubator shepherding the development of Ignition Drawing, Impulse Souvenirs, Layout Lab, Arrow Emblems, and Emerald City Decoration.
Discovery of Stickers
Our product teams are always experimenting in the shop, troubleshooting customer issues on our laser engraver, vinyl cutter, 3D printer, digital printer and sewing machines. When a couple of customers were in need of a wholesale die-cut sticker manufacturer, we found a great match for our capabilities. It didn’t long before we were producing and selling a few thousand stickers each day!
Impulse Souvenirs Takes Off
With our own manufacturing and software capabilities in place for pins, patches and medals, and heavy logistical and packaging expertise, we find a natural extension to meet the unmet needs of souvenir gift shops and grow our newest business.
New Brand Unveiled: Ignition Drawing!
Our new brand stresses our differentiation as hand-drawn vector experts and award-winning embroidery digitizers. We thought it was a little risky to change the name of two successful businesses (combining Artwork Source and 24-hour Artwork), but it’s hard to stand out from the crowd with generic names and our new logo and brand image is more memorable and represents our innovative company culture.
Layout Lab Launches
We unveil an online design tool empowering small custom
apparel shops to compete with big online stores. Our
subscription-based service empowers shop customers
to design online, while shops save time, receive
requests for quotes online, and increase revenue!

Moving Time...
After outgrowing our Tacoma office, we relocate to new digs in Tukwila, WA, enabling us to bring our re-drawing and digitizing services and embroidery shop under one roof with our own on-site production factory!
We Buy HPI Emblem and a Factory!
With the purchase of a patch and embroidery factory in China, along with the purchase of the established promotional product supplier company HPI Emblem, we gain 30 years of patch knowledge and a new scale that comes from millions a year more in patch volume.
Our Embroidery Expertise Expands
To learn the most current digitizing techniques, we set up our own embroidery shop giving us the ability to learn fast and offer more experienced troubleshooting. Our research and development project evolves into a full-service contract embroidery shop: Emerald City Embroidery. We’re up to 66 heads and still growing.
Arrow Emblems Opens!
Thanks to the experience gained through our new ventures in digitizing, we create a new business line to take advantage of our new skills and enter the promotional products market as a narrow-focus supplier to distributors. We build our chenille patch factory in Rugao, China because we can’t find anyone in America to match our expectations in quality and delivery time.
