PRODUCTION-READY VECTORS or DIGITIZED EMBROIDERY FILES
My name is Cory Dean.
As owner of Ignition Drawing, my passion is building solutions to
challenging problems and helping customers run smoother
promotional product and apparel businesses. In two decades,
my company’s grown from a 3-person shop to a global enterprise
employing more than 300 people who are always innovating new
ways to save our customers cost and labor.
Read about how we got started…
The first time I caught the entrepreneurial bug was when I sold
Stanford and Cal merchandise at bookstores and football games
at UC Berkeley.
In 2002, I merged my apparel business with my parents’ trophy
shop where I worked as salesman, accountant, production
coordinator, janitor, and artist redrawing ugly jpegs into clean
art ready to be laser engraved or printed.
That’s when I had my aha-moment!
I answered a spam email offering 24-hour camera ready art that landed in my inbox, and discovered a process rife with errors. It was
a communication mess and only delivered a good product after complicated rounds of revisions. I knew it could be done better and
saw a giant opportunity to become a narrow-focused supplier that took advantage of developing Internet technology to deliver
redrawn logos in less than 24 hours with simple flat-rate pricing.
The idea caught on quickly, creating 100s of happy online vector art customers…
With $25K from my parents, I hired an artist and software engineer and launched Ignition Drawing. Within months, we reached hundreds
of projects per day and added embroidery digitizing.
Today, we digitize & vectorize 1000+ orders a day.
Following the same formula, we later created more businesses you can learn more about on our website: Velociterra.
Our entrepreneurial spirit hasn’t diminished. Every year, we have more new ideas in development.
Thanks for your continued support.
Stay tuned for what’s next…
